Rob has a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from The University of Michigan and years of experience as an actor, composer, vocal coach & music director. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Actor’s Equity, NYSTA (New York singing Teachers Association) & an alum of the Tony Award wining BMI workshop. He has taught every age level and ability from elementary and High School, to seasoned Broadway veterans.
Rob specializes in pop/rock music, transcription/transposition, building your book, and audition/last minute callback preparation. He has a wealth of musical knowledge and resources to draw from and offers reasonable rates for all services. Rob's past audition coaching clients have booked such shows as Wicked (Broadway and LA), Mamma Mia, Shrek, Lestat, Dracula, 101 Dalamations, Dirty Dancing, On The Town (West End), not to mention numerous regional theatre productions.
Rob offers coachings in his home studio in Astoria or when available, his midtown rehearsal studio. Rates are kept competitive to make coachings available to all budgets. Joint Coaching and Lesson packages are available as well. Contact Amanda to discuss joint rates.
1 Hour Coaching: $50
1/2 Hour Coaching: $30
Rob also specializes in transposition, transcription, and arrangement services. He can take your song and put it in any key you'd like, help make a clean cut or arrangement of a song, or transcribe that you song you love that isn't available in sheet music form. Turnaround times are typically 24-48 hours, but can be longer for more complicated material.
Transposition: $10 per page
Transcription: $15 for the first page, $10 for each additional page
