Amanda will be headed once again to the Junior Theatre Festival to work with thousands of musical theatre kids. This year Amanda will be singing alongside her student Luca Padovan in the Songwriter's Showcase. She will be singing a song from the Off Broadway musical The Lightening Thief based on the popular book series.

Amanda was awarded the Vocology Mentorship at Mount Sinai Hospital and is currently spending three days a week observing the voice doctors as they work with patients.
10.20.13Amanda will be part of "Monstersongs," a new piece of theatre that combines a live rock concept album with a graphic novel, with all songs told from the point of view of misunderstood monsters. Music and lyrics are by award winning composer-lyricist Rob Rokicki with illustrations by Dave O'Neill of the popular Shankman and O'Neill children's books. 9.22.13Amanda sang at the concert INSPIRED, produced by composer Bobby Cronin. The event raised money for the ASPCA and The Last Resort Shelter in NJ. The show featured composers singing songs that inspired them as writers in addition to something of their own. I was lucky to sing "More Than Anything" for Rokicki-Ruby's Strange Tails. The pictures were featured on Broadway World!

9.8.13Amanda has been awarded the 2013 Janet Pranschke Scholarship by the New York Singing Teacher's Association. This scholarship covers all the costs of the Oren L. Brown Professional Development Program presented by NYSTA and Westminster College. Classes include Anatomy and Physiology, Acoustics and Resonance, Vocal Health, Singer's Developmental Repertoire, and Comparative Pedagogy.

5.19.13 Amanda's Graduate RecitalAmanda will be presenting her master's recital at 2:00 on Sunday 5/19 at NYU's Black Box Theatre (82 Washington Square East). Come hear songs from Johann Strauss, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Adam Guettel, Michael John Lachiusa and more. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the degree of master of music in vocal performance with a musical theatre concentration. Seating is limited, so please contact Amanda directly to reserve a seat.

This evening is a perfect date night event, and is recommended for audience members around 12 or 13 and over (some possible mature content in either the art being displayed or the songs being sung). There is no entry/cover fee, but there will be refreshments available for sale. Seating will be limited for this event, so please RSVP.
1.10.13 The Passion of Ed WoodAmanda is playing the role of Dolores Fuller in Justin Warner and Rob Kendt's new musical The Passion of Ed Wood. The musical follows the life of Ed Wood who went down in history as Hollywood's worst film director. He lived an odd life of filmmaking and cross dressing and the musical captures it all! The reading is part of the Musical Monday series at The Snapple Center and starts at 6:00. Tickets can be reserved online.

I'm Ready Album Release
Rob Rokicki's debut album I'm Ready was released on 11.19.12. Amanda is featured singing "The Clock is Ticking" and heard singing background vocals on numerous tracks. She even says a hysterical line that sounds like a drag queen. I guess you'll have to purchase the album to see if you can find this mystery line. You can purchase the album on iTunes or Amazon. Amanda will be singing alongside many of her friends as we celebrate the release of Rob Rokicki's debut album, I'm Ready: The Songs of Rob Rokicki. The album will be available on iTunes beginning 11.19, but you get a free copy when you purchase a ticket to the concert! The event will be held on 11.19 at 9:15. There is a two-drink minimum and The Triad is located at 158 West 72nd Street.
